An addition or separate room
Describe how the space is used, its current heating and cooling, and access for installation. Ask whether the proposal serves that room or a larger area.
Start with the rooms you want to improve
Considering ductless heating and cooling for an addition, several rooms or a home without ducts? Tell us where you need comfort. We help gather written mini-split installation quotes so you can explore your options before hiring.
We organize your request and coordinate with contractors, so you spend less time repeating yourself. With Full Advocacy, we can step in for you at one local visit when needed. Contractors assess and quote the work. You choose who to hire.
Start with a free 5-minute call. Three bids are our target, subject to contractor availability and whether the project is a fit. Contractors may need to visit.
No quote needed to get started
Start with the spaces you use, the layout and what feels uncomfortable. Ductless systems connect indoor units to outdoor equipment without a conventional duct network. An installer needs to determine suitable capacity, placement and coverage. We organize the request around your rooms and priorities, with free bid coordination for projects that fit.
Describe how the space is used, its current heating and cooling, and access for installation. Ask whether the proposal serves that room or a larger area.
Request a clear list of rooms, indoor units and outdoor equipment. Have the installer explain the proposed arrangement and how each space will be controlled.
If you use baseboards or window units, explain which areas you want changed. Ask what remains in place and what removal or electrical work is included.
Know what you are being offered
Unit count is not the whole scope. A proposal should make the installation understandable before work starts. Ask installers to describe placement and routing, especially where appearance, sound or access matters to you.
From first question to written offers
01
List the rooms, how you use them and what you hope will change.
02
We coordinate proposals; contractors assess the layout and recommend suitable equipment.
03
Review the written options yourself or add paid support to clarify differences and negotiate.
Understand the budget
The number of zones, equipment arrangement, access, routing and electrical work can change the installation price. Our focus is planned projects expected to cost at least $7,000, so a small single-room job may fall outside the service. We will discuss fit on the free call before beginning outreach.
Useful before requesting quotes
Choose your support
We prepare a consistent project request, reach out through our participating network, screen contractors as bids are requested and deliver the written offers we receive.
You review the offers and decide what to do. Free delivery does not include a comparison, summary, recommendation, negotiation or our attendance.
How free delivery works ↗We compare the bids, ask what is missing and handle one final negotiation round on price, included work, warranty and timing. You get our recommendation in writing and help connecting with your chosen contractor.
We can step in for you at one local visit when needed, helping you save time on repeat consultations.
See the full offer and fees ↗Paid support starts only after the free call and agreement on scope. We can’t guarantee a lower price, savings that cover our fee or three completed bids. We also receive a disclosed fixed contractor success fee under agreed conditions. See how we are paid. The contractor pays this fee. It is not added to your agreed contract price and does not change that price.
Prepare for the visit
Tell us which doors usually stay closed, where equipment could be placed and any appearance concerns. Photos or a basic floor sketch may help the installer understand your questions. A qualified contractor must determine room loads and final sizing; an online room-AC estimate is not a mini-split design.

Start with us and a conversation about what you need. You choose and hire the contractor directly. Contractors are responsible for assessment, design, installation and workmanship.
An installer must assess the layout and how air will reach the spaces you want served. Ask them to explain coverage and limitations instead of relying on a simple units-per-room rule.
A ductless heat pump can do both. Ask the installer to confirm the proposed equipment’s capabilities and suitability for the spaces and conditions at your home.
Tell us about it on the free call. We focus on planned projects expected to cost at least $7,000, and a smaller single-room installation may not fit. No paid support is required to discuss that.
